Strap on the old feedbag and prepare to chow down! You know, this place is really not bad. They have a great variety on the hot lines, and I've found everything to be of reasonably good quality. A carving station for roast beef and turkey, steaks cooked to order, a wide variety of other entrees like pot roast, fried chicken, bourbon chicken, meatloaf, etc. and an extensive array of veggies and a terrific salad bar. I've been here 3 times and there is always a crowd so prepare to stand in line for a tray. Thats either a testament to Overeaters Anonymous or the fact that the Corral is just a great value. Service is always prompt and friendly. I wouldn't make a habit out of it, but for an occasional splurge this is the place. And BTW, bring your own forks... trust me on this.

It is what it is...which friends and I nicknamed the Golden Trough years ago. Good customer service at this Jax location, food average to below average. If you're looking for variety, yet willing to sacrifice quality...Go for it.

Not bad food. Unprofessional service. I love the steak and the desserts. Every time i eat here its so busy! So yeah i mean this place can get pretty "$$$$" but it should be okay on occasion only. Although I warn you to listen to me.. NEVER EAT THE CHINESE FOOD!!! Uggghh believe me it is TERRIBLE!! Go to the chinese buffet not so far from here if you want chinese but yeah.. I will probably come back.

I don't go into a buffet with high expectations. In general though, Golden Corral typically has some decent choices. This Golden Corral was sub-par at best. There were definitely less options than the one we have in Charleston, SC and the food was edible but no where near tasty. So much so that I think next time somebody suggests this place, I will opt for ANYTHING else. To top it off, our waitress was pratically non-existent. It was a poor experience all the way around.

The place is great. Though not the cleanest, the food is delicious. I would recommend it to people who love buffets and good food.

This place is okay. The price is good 13 dollars for one person. It was busy when my family went in on a Friday evening. The dinning area was kind of messy but I expected that for a busy night. They kept the the buffet filled with food. Some of the food was great some not much to my taste. They have something for everyone! I will go again because my husband loved this place.

This place is nuts!! From steak to cake they have it all, anything your heart desires (as long as you don't mind a fair amount of lil kid germs and it is a fair amount). My favorite thing about GC is the staff's willingness to help. The last time I ate here a staff member came over to clear my table and had a slight situation on her hands. She wanted to stack two plates that were loaded with trash. This determined waitress took one look, swallowed her pride, scooped up a plateful of chum and moved it to the other plate, barehanded! Now that's talent! It's moves like this that solidify my love for GC. Now can I PLEASE get some more dinner roles!! Haha just kidding.

I used to eat here all the time, but for past year I came here just one time. Price is not cheap but a lot of food. Food not perfect quality and taste. Plates plastic and old. Not sure if I want to eat here again.

Yeah, it's convenient but....... I have eaten here a couple of times and every time they are VERY understaffed. The food taste okay for a buffett but the steak is NEVER cooked right and you usually have to wait for them to put some out on the buffett. The floors usually have food all over them and I won't even mention how gross the bathrooms are. These are all things that could be remedied if this location was managed properly. Get it together people!

When i walked in i was impressed at first. newly decorated and refurnished. Looks nice i like it.The food was awesome and the service was pretty good. Everyone had full happy Timmy's when we left. What got me though is that the ice cream machines out and we told two people. For twenty minutes neither of them passed a long the news. I watched. Weird ? Oh well. A second thing is when I saw the kitchen doors open all I could think was YUCK!!!! Oh my god how could you work in something like that. Floors and sh** everywhere. Doors close thank god. But the area they refill the drinks the floors were soaked with little puddles. I wish the waitress cleared our plates a little quicker but she was super nice ! I never saw the bathrooms but if their how they were not to long ago. Beware. The price for a family of 6 is alittle no alot much but hey all you can eat I guess. Everyone got alittle of what they wanted and no one had any complaints. I had a good meal everyone was happy foods great.

It's Golden Corral. As a rule, I try and avoid buffet places, but mom wanted to check it out. Nobody expects gourmet, but it could have been better. On some of the fried items, there was too much pepper (mainly the fried okra.) The white rice was more bloated than cooked, a pet peeve of mine. I wouldn't recommend getting anything even remotely seafood like here. The fish with lemon and herb sauce on top tasted more like eggs. How? I don't know. Popcorn shrimp had no taste but the fried part. The pot roast was really good, though. Probably because it's a dish designed to sit in a crock pot. As always, the rolls were FANTASTIC!!! That's one redeeming quality that nobody can take away from them! Mmmm, and the honey butter? Desserts were a hit, too. Though, except for the chocolate fountain, nothing really stands out. The people there are very customer friendly. Absolutely no complaints there. Waitress, Tina, was wonderful. Kept our drinks filled and used plates out of our way etc.

Had dinner with ants on the table. Spoke to manager and he shrugged his shoulders and said they have a professional that comes in once a month to spray. He said maybe He should call them. Sigh. I then found a hair with my ham. Will never go back!!!!

I'll admit, back in the day I REALLY enjoyed this place. The food was always good but I just made sure to never use the restrooms because they were never clean. Anyway, I moved to LA and back and this was my first time eating here in over 2 years. I don't know what happened to this restaurant in the last two years but I am definitely not coming back. The breakfast buffet was nothing like it used to be. They seemed to not have on their buffet some of the things they had a really long time ago and the things they did have were only so so. I really wished they'd have had the apple fritters cause those were always really good. The food was just okay. I remembered it being better last time and we all agreed that something tasted off about the bacon but we couldn't put our finger on it. When we got home that morning, all seven of us started feeling sick to our stomachs. Two hours later we were ALL throwing up and having some other disgusting stomach issues and seeing as the other members in our family who didn't attend breakfast weren't sick, it is safe to say that our breakfast was to blame. I'll just go to ihop from now on if I'm craving breakfast.

There is no doubt that this place is popular. If you have a group with diverse tastes then this place is suitable. Prices are very low. The serving area seems clean the tables and wait staff are very nice. The food is diverse. Unfortunately, the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting 90% of the time. As a customer who likes to wash their hands before dinner this place is alarming. It is as if there is an out of sight out of mind policy there. I makes me wonder since the kitchen is also out of my sight, what is the kitchen cleanliness and maintenance like. I hope its ok but I have left twice out of 3 visits based on the oily mop water used on the dinning room floor and the bathroom conditions.. I have not visited with success in the last 12 months. -Sorry

This past weekend my family of 4 found ourselves very hungry and everyone wanted something different and we started looking for a buffet and we saw one of our favorite signs "Golden Corral". We arrived on Sunday at about 1:00 -- right when all the church folks start hunting for their Sunday dinner place. uggh!! parking lot was full, and there was a small line inside, but after getting in we were able to find a table very easily. And, it was really clean too! All of us hit the food bars all looking for something we each liked. I thoroughly enjoy the shrimp scampi and broiled fish; my husband the carnivore he is has to have his steak, my son likes the fried chicken and lima beans and my daughter really just wants to stick dozens of strawberries & marshmellows under the chocolate waterfall; but will eat some fish and shrimp and a few other veggies along with me, before I will let her indulge in the chocolate lovers fantasy, of dipping everything you can put a stick in with warm chocolate "gooieness" . (I enjoy this almost as much as my daughter does!) Our waitress kept our dirty dishes cleared away and our drink glasses full and had a wonderful smile. Even the bathroom was clean and smelled fresh at one of their peak customer hours. The Golden Corral we visit the most is not nearly as nice as this one; if it just wasn't so far away we'd make this one our go to place for good food and the variety we enjoy.

Yuck. Sorry, but that is the first word that comes to mind. This place needs a desperate cleaning and more attention to the food bars. Children are allowed to serve themselves, spoons are dropped into food and left there, floor is slippery with oil, bathrooms are a mess. The last time we ate there ( which is def. THE LAST time ) , two out of three of us ended up with the big D. No plans to ever return. One positive thing I have to say is that the servers that come to the table are very friendly. That's the reason for two stars instead of just one. Those ladies work hard and have to deal with a lot of difficult people and they still manage to be nice and helpful.
